The second retreat of the year at Villa Iokasti felt like the best holiday I have ever had, never mind my guests! Such a wonderful group, I could not wish for more fun, appreciative, engaged and kind people. A blend of couples and single people, all got on like a house on fire and continued spending time together beyond the hours of the organised activities and excursions. On the last evening, the group surprised me with a small ‘thank you’ ceremony where I was presented with a beautifully painted thank you card and a set of jewellery which was as appreciated as it was unexpected. Leading these retreats, sharing with people what I love about my island and its culinary history is one of the best things to have come out from my MasterChef story and I am very grateful for that!
