It is one thing to live in the most foodie county in the UK and quite another to be asked to present the food awards for what was best during the previous year! A thrilling evening at Kendal Catering college (the students cooked a superb dinner of canapes followed by three courses) where awards were given to 16 people or companies selected by 15 independent judges from the 1400 entries! I felt so incredibly proud, even though I fluffed my words a couple of times! Everyone was so kind and generous in their comments!
