On 23rd June, I (aided by the very talented chef Steven Doherty) catered for over 100 people a cruise on the beautifully refurbished MV Raven of Ullswater Steamers in a fund raising event, the brainchild of my husband John who is a trustee for the South Lakes Citizens Advice.
The charity offers invaluable assistance to people who having been hit particularly hard by Covid are more in need of the Charity’s services than ever before. The experience was a gorgeous one, the Cumbrian weather co-operated and everyone had a wonderful time with over £6,000 raised for the charity.
